Hotels
Please make your own travel and hotel reservations (the EU is very strict on reimbursing the most economical accommodation and transportation). The Saarbrücken group is booked into the in-town CAB Inn City hotel (see e-mail from Prof. Gottlieb below). If you have any problems, please contact us. Also, please note that EU regulations state that "Expenditures such as public transportation (or taxi), minibar, telephone, car park, room service, additional costs for double room (incl. 2nd breakfast), etc." will be at your own expense. These expenditure must be settled separately with the hotel.

Subject: Accommodation Euroconference Copenhagen

Dear Euroconference participants

You have all expressed an interest in finding centrally located, yet cheap hotel accommodation during the "Audiovisual Translation Scenarios" conference in Copenhagen, May 1-5.

This is not a very easy task, but we have now found a hotel which seems to offer what you ask for.

As you can see on the Cab-Inn website the Cab-Inn City - a 350-room hotel - is situated very close to the town center.

It is the cheapest genuine hotel in town, and rooms are small, but cosy and clean. Every room has its own bathroom, and - of special interest to you - internet access and a 'laptop-size' writing desk. In the hotel lounge you'll find wireless internet access, plus space for socializing.

If you book individually, prices are are follows:
A single room, with breakfast, is 575 DKK (some 77 €), while double rooms are 645 DKK (Rooms for 3 persons: 765 DKK; for 4 persons 885 DDK).

As these ordinary room prices at the Cab-Inn are very low (by Danish standards), the official state prices that we can offer if you decide to book via the University of Copenhagen are only marginally lower: You will save 15 DKK (2 Euros) per night.

Still, if you are interested in having us booking your rooms, please contact our departmental secretary, Ms. Annemarie Jensen:. Remember to specify the exact dates of your arrival and departure - and whether you want to share rooms, or you prefer individual rooms.

There are still - as of today - plenty of vacant rooms at the Cab-Inn City, but traditionally, May is a popular month to visit Copenhagen, and several other congresses and fairs mean that rooms will get scarce.

Looking forward to seeing you all in Copenhagen!

All the best,
Henrik Gottlieb
